Set Me Free x Rogue District: High Tea for Hamlin
2.30 - 4.30pm Sunday 6th August 2017
After being inspired by the work of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (Australia) I wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in High Tea for Hamlin 2017... and I was thrilled Annie Martinu at Rogue District café was happy to join me.
Together, Annie and I hosted a high tea on Sunday 6th August 2017 which raised much needed funds for Hamlin Fistula, a charity dedicated to restoring the health and dignity of women who have survived a horrendous and preventable childbirth injury: obstetric fistula.
For just $50 attendees:
- Invested in a new future for women in need of fistula surgery
- Enjoyed delicious cake, coffee and tea
- Met like-minded people
- Learned practical ways in which they could actively contribute to a better world, thanks to a Set Me Free group coaching session
Thanks to the entire Set Me Free community, we raised over $1,400 which funded two life changing surgeries and one specialised post graduate training on emergency obstetrics for a Hamlin midwife.
