This week I heard about a great idea - #selfcaresunday.
It's what we all need, isn't it.
A bit of TLC after a busy week.
But it can be so hard to make the time to care for ourselves.
We can resist self-care as if it was torture! (Or is that just me?!)
Self-care felt impossible for me at one stage, not too long ago.
The great thing is that practice makes perfect! It becomes less uncomfortable/guilt ridden and it turns out I'm a better everything (mother, coach, partner, friend, citizen) for it.
Self-care can be so many things (whatever feels nourishing or rejuvenating to you), but one of my favourite thing is getting up a bit early to sit in the quiet, before my little girl and husband get up.
This week, I've been holding one thought in my head and letting spread through my whole body for about 10-20 minutes...
I remember love
It feels SO GOOD! Give it a try!
If you're not feeling that loving about what's around you, imagine a loving energy wrapping around you and holding you safe.
An energy that knows you are perfectly imperfect and that all your decisions have brought you to the right place.
All is well.
I guarantee you'll start the day more calm and warm towards the world. It's addictive!
What will you try this week? Is something calling to you?
Go for it and let me know your favourite methods of self-care in the comments!
